The Aliveness Project is a unique grassroots effort, ultimately governed by the people who use its services, the “members.” Part of empowering people with HIV and AIDS is actually putting them in charge of the services they need. Members elect the Membership Advisory Committee (MAC) and the Board of Directors, making them truly the shareholders of the organization.

Membership Advisory Committee (MAC)

The MAC consists of up to 20 members elected at the Annual Membership Meeting. They meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30. The MAC advises staff and Board on current issues, runs the charitable gaming program, and elects Board members to fill partial term vacancies. The President of the MAC is automatically seated on the Board.
