About The Aliveness Project

Everyone should have the opportunity to lead a healthy, self-directed life, and people living with HIV should not feel stuck, isolated, or stigmatized.

The Aliveness Project was founded as a community center for and driven by people living with HIV. For over 30 years, we have been facilitating connection to community, offering nutrition & wellness services, and linking our members to resources to lead fulfilling & healthy lives.

A Safe Place of Support

"Aliveness has been a support in healthcare, both mental and physical and has given me a place to join a community and further my leadership skills.

My life is healthier, less scary, and highly empowered because of The Aliveness Project."

- Alex

A Community of Friends

"I volunteer to honor my friend Marc, who died 20 years ago from complications related to AIDS. Volunteering has given me a community and I was welcomed from the very beginning.

Volunteering at Aliveness also pushes me to learn more about the issues that people living with HIV face, like addiction, mental health, and housing."

- Peggy
