Aliveness joined our friends at Minnesota AIDS Project as Mayor Jacob Frey signed a resolution that puts Minneapolis on the fast track to end the HIV epidemic. The goals are 90% of PLHIV know their status, are on antiretroviral therapy, and achieve viral suppression, and the elimination of HIV stigma and discrimination. Minneapolis is one of 90 cities to sign on to Fast-Track-Cities Ending AIDS – the first in MN and 2nd in the Midwest.

The Fast-Track Cities Initiative was launched on World AIDS Day 2014 in Paris. Joining Fast-Track  Cities Initiative gives cities access to technical assistance to local health departments; consensus-building and coordination among key local stakeholders; and capacity-building support for clinical and service providers, community-based organizations, and affected communities.
