About The Aliveness Project

Everyone should have the opportunity to lead a healthy, self-directed life, and people living with HIV should not feel stuck, isolated, or stigmatized.

The Aliveness Project was founded as a community center for and driven by people living with HIV. For over 30 years, we have been facilitating connection to community, offering nutrition & wellness services, and linking our members to resources to lead fulfilling & healthy lives.

“The Aliveness Project is a place where seeds of hope are planted. It took me 9.5 years as a member to grasp that concept….now I am ready to start bearing fruit.”

– Moncies

PETER

“I’d never worked in a kitchen before besides my own. I didn’t know what to expect, but I fell in love with Aliveness. I like being busy, and the kitchen keeps you active. Chef Kris is also an incredible chef and person; everything he makes is amazing.

Aliveness has changed my life. I can’t imagine not being here. I’m 70 now and I’d like to still be coming in when I’m 90.”

- Peter
