Whole-person care
— whole-community impact.

Day to day, we’re focused on making sure everyone who
comes through our doors gets the care and compassion they deserve.

But it’s pretty amazing to take a step back once in a while and see the ripple
effect of the work of this committed community.

“As a young queer person, I value sharing space with Queer Elders here. Outside of work, there can be a disconnect between younger queer folks and older generations, however Aliveness provides us all with the space to share our stories, learn our shared history, and exchange the inherent wisdom that comes with living a lifetime of struggle and stigma.”

Let's End
HIV

Our mission is simple: to provide essential support to our community and put an end to HIV.

We do this through free prevention and care services to thousands of Minnesotans living with and at risk for HIV. We’ve let that vision drive us for nearly 40 years, and we won’t stop until the HIV epidemic is ended.

Everything we do

For people living with HIV…

  • Healthy, scratch-made meals from our kitchen
  • Monthly groceries from our choice-model food shelf
  • Medical nutrition therapy
  • Case management + housing help
  • Peer-led discussion groups

For people at risk of HIV…

  • PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis)
  • PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis)
  • HIV testing
  • Syringe service program
  • STI testing + treatment

Advocacy
Work

At the start of the HIV epidemic, AIDS activists mobilized to advocate for funding, equality, and the basic dignity of our lives. They took to the streets, went to the halls of Congress, and made noise and change everywhere in between.
Inspired by their legacy, we partner with community activists throughout Minnesota to advocate loudly for policies that will save lives and benefit us all.

Our advocacy areas include…

  • HIV care and prevention
  • Housing
  • Social justice
  • Harm reduction
  • HIV and aging
  • Intersectional solidarity
