The Sous-Chef / Cook position contributes to Aliveness Project’s mission by assisting in food preparation and service at the drop-in, from scratch, cafeteria in our community center in Minneapolis.
The Line Cook / Kitchen Assistant position contributes to Aliveness Project’s mission by assisting in food preparation and service Monday-Friday at the drop-in, from scratch, cafeteria in our community center in Minneapolis. Aliveness provides around 1500 hot lunch and to-go meals per week to nourish our neighbors living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS.
The Prevention Specialist will provide rapid HIV testing, risk reduction counseling, and community outreach to individuals at risk for HIV. This role is essential in connecting individuals to PrEP, HIV care, harm reduction services, and other supportive resources. The ideal candidate is passionate about public health, HIV prevention, and engaging with diverse communities. This position will be part of our overall HIV Prevention and Harm Reduction department, which also operates a mobile harm reduction van and HIV testing for diverse communities at risk of HIV.
Job Specifics: This is a part-time position for no more than 29 hours a week. The position is a temporary position currently funded through the end of September, with potential for role continuation as funding allows. This position typically requires being in person at The Aliveness Project during open hours (M-F 9-4). Some flexibility for occasional remote work is available. Flexibility to work evening or weekend hours for events is required.
