Who Should Consider DoxxyPEP?
You may want to consider DoxyPEP if you were assigned male at birth, are at least 12 years old, and meet the following criteria:
-
You've been diagnosed with at least one bacterial STI (like chlamydia, gonorrhea, or syphilis) in the past 12 months
-
You've had condomless oral and/or anal sex with at least one person assigned male at birth in the past 12 months
While current research shows DoxyPEP is most effective for people who meet these criteria, we know others may still be interested in using it as part of their STI prevention strategy. If you think DoxyPEP might be right for you, even if you donβt meet the guidelines above, our team at the Thrive Clinic is here to talk through your options and help you make an informed decision.
