Three Brilliant Women Join Aliveness

We continue to grow and flourish! The Aliveness Project welcomes three mission driven women to our staff and our Board of Directors. Learn more about each person in their bio below.

Josephine M. Hovers – Early Intervention Navigator

Josephine M Hovers (she/her) is not your average business woman: she owns and runs Favor Creation Salon and Boutique located in Brooklyn Park, MN; she runs catering operation as well as small scale cleaning & decorating services. Besides all that, Josephine is a fabulous networker and a marketer with a strong followership of community of buyers and sellers all around the Twin Cities of Minnesota, across the United States and Overseas, she’s also so passionate about helping other women who are interested  in business.

Michelle Bahr – Board of Directors

Michelle Bahr (she/her) is a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) with a focus in addiction and substance abuse at a private practice in Shakopee, MN. She is a proud mother of her gay son, which has been the catalyst of her LGBTQ+ advocacy work. She has been a volunteer for Minnesota AIDS Project as a HIV/AIDS education specialist, Ambassador for Dining Out For Life, PRIDE team for All God’s Children, and activist work with Outfront Minnesota. Michelle enjoys spending quality time with her husband Dale, four kids, and six beautiful grandkids

Michelle Tanner – Board of Directors

Michelle Tanner (she/her) is a manager of pharmacy programs at UnitedHealthcare. Michelle was instrumental in launching the first of its kind “My ScriptRewards” program that allows UHC Commercial members access to select HIV medications at $0 cost.  Outside of UHC, Michelle has been an Aliveness project volunteer has assisted in the planning of Dining Out For Life.  Michelle resides in Hopkins and enjoys reading, biking, and spending time with her family in Northern Minnesota.
