Aliveness is an Essential Service

Updated 8/15/2020

The Aliveness Project is considered an essential service and we will continue our commitment to the care and wellbeing of the HIV community during this crisis. Over the past months, we have safely distributed over 11,400 to-go meals and over 3,050 bags of groceries to folks living with HIV. We fully expect these numbers to grow with restaurants closing and unemployment benifits ending.  Additionally, Aliveness has seen an uptake in new membership applications. Whether you are newly diagnosed or a long-term survivor we are here for you during this crisis. *If you are a person living with HIV, or know someone living with HIV and would benefit from our services please call us at 612-822-7946*

The safety and health of our members, volunteers, and staff continues to be our top priority as we navigate this every changing road. Please read the following changes to operational/service hours.

The Aliveness Project’s public spaces (lobby, community room, therapy rooms) will remain closed until further notice. All case managers will be working remotely.

On-site rapid Free HIV testing is available by appointment only. *If you are high risk and need an HIV test please call us at 612-822-7946* Appointments available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 11am-3pm, mask must be worn in the building at all times.

Aliveness will continue to serve to-go meals and pre-packed food shelf bags during the days/hours below.

Providing critical services to our members while limiting their movement and keeping people at home as much as possible is our goal. On September 24 we will host Dining IN For Life, our largest fundraiser, where we will support our local restaurants and rise funds for the services we provide. Please consider making a donation so we can keep providing these services to those most vulnerable.  Click Here to Donate
