Executive Director Amy Moser Announces Resignation

Friends of The Aliveness Project,

Today we thank Amy Moser for her service to The Aliveness Project and PLHIV community as she announces her decision to step down as Executive Director.

Amy’s relentless commitment to collaboration, strategic thinking, smart business decisions and the health and well-being of our membership and the HIV service sector rejuvenated The Aliveness Project’s Board, staff, membership and donors. Under her leadership, we have secured multiple new program contracts, expanded our outreach, testing, case management and Medical Nutrition Therapy programs, and increased individual giving. Most important of all, Aliveness has established a work place culture of collaboration, team problem solving and smart risk taking – putting members at the forefront of every decision.

Amy has insisted that the HIV service sector must ready itself to respond to the new realities of living with HIV in 2018. “An aging HIV population, increased infections in communities already bearing the brunt of health disparities, mental and chemical health challenges and homelessness – facing down these challenges directly and in culturally responsive ways is the only way we will end the HIV epidemic. The Aliveness Project, along with our community partners in care and prevention, is ready to tackle these challenges head on. I am proud of my role in that work and know that Aliveness is in a solid place to continue to move forward. ”

The work of Amy and the Aliveness team has moved the needle on quality care for PLHIV in Minnesota. A strong base of leadership at Aliveness will keep this momentum going as we identify our next Executive Director. While we are very sad to see her go, we are grateful to Amy for her leadership and wish her well as she shifts her focus to her primary priority – being more present for her young family.

Inspiration is contagious, and we continue to be inspired by our members, as well as the volunteers, staff and donors who further the work of The Aliveness Project every day. Thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to move forward to end HIV in Minnesota.

Sincerely,

Joe Watters, President
